A Southern girl raised on the not so finer things in life but I wouldn’t trade it for the world…well, maybe for a trip to Europe!
I started this blog 4 years ago while living in Brooklyn - not a bad place to be when you’re obsessed with pickles. In 2010 I left my IKEA furniture and roommates behind to follow my heart to New Orleans, LA - not a bad place to be when you’re a pickled freak.
I’m originally from a small town in Mississippi who finds NOLA to be the perfect balance of small town/big city, Southern and exotic. I’m single and I have a taxidermied squirrel lamp named Circles as my companion.
I read your article in Rachel Ray and immediately knew we had a connection. I could go on and on about my love for pickles, but we can get into that later. I’ve never branched out and tried pickles that you can’t find in the stores. I want to get your opinion on a dill (not bread and butter sweet - HATE THEM). I love garlic, olives, sauerkraut and spicy foods. Can you please reply with some suggestions?
Never branched out? Oh my, you are in for a TREAT!!!!
I’m going to suggest Zayda’s Brand to you because they are AWESOME, but also because they are affordable and ship in plastic (which makes shipping affordable). They also have a deal right now for $5 off. Use coupon code “take5″ on their website http://www.zaydasbrand.com
Once you’ve tried those, come back to me for your next pickle adventure/suggestion!
I just want to say I’m new to blogging and truly loved you’re blog. Very likely I’m likely to bookmark your website . You certainly have incredible writings. Thank you for sharing with us your web page.
