This year has been the busiest year of my life and I’ve been loving every single second of it. The last time I checked in with you, I’d traveled to NYC and got to visit my pal at Brooklyn Brine. He’s since opened up The Pickle Shack.
Here are a few of the things that I’VE been up to since then as well, slapped together in a random fashion, because it’s MY blog and I can do what I wanna:
I played kickball on a team called the Blush Ballers. Outdoors. In the summer. In New Orleans. I was #37 in honor of Steve Gleason and Team Gleason. We were the only team that actually had fans come to watch and cheer us on. We were always entertaining and sometimes surprisingly great! You can now officially call me “athletic”.
My friend Danielle bought me this super cute tea/kitchen towel. It has a loop so you can hook it on something while you’re cooking (I guess that’s what it is for…when was the last time I cooked?). Danielle DOES cook and she’s great at it-she’s got a new blog called Stupid Cooking Blog and you should check it out!
Sometimes the best meals are the simplest ones. For example:
A hamburger patty, an order of fries and a pickle from The Camellia Grill in the French Quarter. Magical.
I will leave you with this last random pickle picture on my phone.
